congratulations on 300 but it’s time to improve on that orange peel. you might have to set up a heated paint booth and move to a better quality 2k clear coat with an airbrush.

Congrats on the 300th video. :D that ferrari looks great, love the detailing and the omitted towhook. :D I think one sign of that castings' popularity is that you can still find them at flea markets and faires in all kinds of conditions. they just sold so well. :)

What I know about the model, hopefully helpful to you. The TW9 was one of the last models released under Husky Toys branding, after the expiry of the exclusivity deal with Woolworths and the launch of Corgi Juniors it initially gained thin Whizzwheels before the casting was re-engineered to take the standard wide version, I think Corgi retired it about 1973 so around a seven year run in two brands and with three different wheel types. I have one awaiting restoration, an early thin wheel Corgi Junior in cream.

I cannot believe it is the same model! The color scheme looks great and as far as the windshield is concerned I don't think you had a choice but to sand off the paint as it was thick and resistant to the Detrol and polishing compound. The decals for the wheels are just excellent. Thanks for sharing this tutorial.

Nice work on the Viper, There was a TV Show from the 1990's Called Viper, The Show about a Red Dodge Viper that Transforms into a Super Crime Fighting Car that catches bad guys, and I do agree with you that today's Maisto Castings aren't as perfect as the ones from the earlier years but they do sometimes make new castings that catch my interest and their sometimes cheaper then Hotwheels & Matchboxs that I sometimes buy at Walmart.

i think you should do more maisto castings from the 90s, since they’re pretty good (also you don’t have to be stuck with 1/64 maisto castings as well)

Maisto are better sized and all that. Sadly they f up by removing the interiors. They got afraid of getting into a market share fight with Mattel and decided to go for the "cheaper" diecast market instead.
